Q: How does stamped concrete compare to regular concrete?
A: Our stamped concrete is a premium concrete using high cement content, fiber and steel reinforcement. We follow the American Concrete Institute's standards for concrete placement and finishing. Our stamped concrete product is as good or better then regular concrete products
Q: Will the color in my decorative concrete last?
A: Yes. We use a combination of integral (colored throughout the depth of the slab) and topical colors, colored release agents and dyes. By using an integrally colored base any damage to areas colored in other methods will still leave you with a colored base.
Q: Why would someone use concrete for a driveway if they can get asphalt cheaper?
A: Even the high quality asphalt driveways require periodic maintaince such surface and crack sealing to slow the aging process presented by the environmental conditions and vehicle frequency. High quality concrete driveways will last more then 30 years with very little need to maintain the structural integrity and aesthetics of the work.
Q: What if my sidewalk or patio is in an area difficult to access?
A: A few options which are available include a concrete pump or conveyor truck to aid in concrete's placement as well as using wheelbarrows to deliver the concrete from a truck parked on the street to your site.
Q: How do I figure out the size of my project?
A: The size of a project is measured in square-feet. To determine your square footage, simply measure the length and width of your desired site and multiply those two numbers. The resulting number is your square footage.
Q: What purpose do joints serve?
A: The joints must commonly seen are referred to as contraction joints which are designed to force any cracking that may occur as a result of shrinkage from the curing process into the thinnest or weakest point of the slab which is created by the jointing.
